I have to report; that this pension has
been enjoyed but

short time, viz. from 12 September 1861. to 10th October 1864, only for
longer than 3 years
I have papers to
present to you
that my Husband's
private funds, never much exhausted by voyages
to and from Hong Kong, and in fruitless efforts in different parts
of Europe. I have his health established before he received his pension - his wish
was to continue at his post
in these circumstances
I was poorly left but I think my case is worthy of consideration,
I would be glad and grateful if their Lordships would
grant a continuation of my Husband's pension to me
and from the facts that it was for special services it was
given - being of the opinion that
his health was lost which has
